Mrs. Phyllis Madonna, co-owner of the Madonna Inn, is described as a selfless wife, mother, friend, businesswoman, author, musician, photographer, and woman of faith. Mrs. Madonna works tirelessly to provide hope to women and children on the Central Coast by donating countless decadent desserts created by the Madonna Inn to numerous businesses and nonprofits to lift the spirits of those working to improve the community. She has helped ensure exposure to the arts by supporting the San Luis Obispo Children’s Museum. Her most notable advocacy, however, has been for the Women’s Shelter. The Shelter recently described Mrs. Madonna impact by stating, “The Women’s Shelter program expresses our gratitude to Phyllis Madonna and the Madonna family for their continuing support of victims of intimate partner violence and child abuse. Through Phyllis’ musical revue and annual show we’re able to provide safety, healing, and empowerment for those affected by violence in our community.” Phyllis has dedicated the last twenty one years to sponsoring and organizing the Women’s Shelter’s yearly fashion show fundraiser, donating her time, energy, and resources. The generous and unparalleled effort through her support and donations speaks to her commitment to enhancing the community. She is known for being kind, elegant and unwaveringly gracious. Mrs. Madonna’s commitment to enhance the wellbeing of children and families on the Central Coast exemplifies the Family Care Network’s mission. It is our honor to celebrate this incredible woman.
